My friend hasn’t been on video chat lately. Since he started an online summer class, he hasn’t been coming in. Does he hate me?

Ever since he started his summer class online, he has been on video chat less. I mean I understand education goes first but he can at least take a break. He hasn’t been answering any of my emails or texts? I mean he did text back and said he has a LOT of homework due this Friday like 6 assignments! That’s a lot for a five week course.
I emailed him an hour ago if he wants to chat with us on zoom tonight.
