What was the reason you and your best friend stopped being friends?
We both had different interests. I hated people at school and day dreamed of travelling world and getting into my dream college (which never happened, thanks to my loser father) while my best friend wants to be popular at school.
She talks to popular and toxic people I try to avoid at school. Slowly, she became like them, made fun of my appearance and reminding me I will never have a boyfriend. Naturally, it created a tension between us. At high school, we drifted apart when we had different classes. She totally ignored me and started to hang around with the popular gang while I stayed back in class alone. Things at home wasn't good either which made things worse. Eventually we became sort of people who once knew.
Years later, I met her at one of my friend's wedding but she and her other popular friends looked at me as if I wasn't supposed to be there. She didn't talk to me at all. It hurt me so much and I left the wedding without saying goodbye. Although she's still in social media friends list, I never texted her.
