Have you ever fallen out with a best friend and never made up?

Yes, a best friend from my childhood proved to be disloyal and very destructive when we attempted to continue our friendship as young adults. I haven't seen her for about 45 years. And that's OK.

Just to show you that I am not really that hard hearted, here is a brief summary of what she did during the horribly memorable summer of 1969:

Killed my dog.
Dug up and destroyed my garden (and was arrogant and unapologetic when it was discovered)
Sold all my furniture while I was at work (she said it was ugly) and kept the money; it was fine expensive antique furniture.
Seduced my long time boyfriend and ruined a long time happy relationship.
Talked to me in an insulting or patronizing manner all summer and refused to back off or apologize as she took over my household and ruined my life.
Lied to my mother and family acquaintances so that the break up of our former friendship was seen as entirely my fault due to my "immaturity."

There's more but I think that the above ought to be enough.

To put it simply, I am NOT the "immature" one here and I do not trust her at all.
