Is planned parenthood evil? Why?
(An acquaintance on fb thinks so. I find it ludicrous she only focuses on the abortion aspect)

Personhood at conception is a religious belief, not a provable biological fact. If abortion is morally wrong, why isn't it morally wrong to force a woman to have a child against her will?
Being born is a gift, not a right. People don't ask to be born, and some wish they weren't.
Motherhood should not be a punishment of having sex. Forcing a child to be born to make the mother deal with consequences is a self righteousness attitude, and also punishes the child.
Woman have a right to choose whether they want to bear children.
Abortions are often hard thought about choices. Contraception is not always effective. Carrying to term for adoption- maybe mom can't afford to give birth. 30,000$ and up to deliver in a hospital. Plus there are dangers and complications. Just because women can bear children does not mean they should. Just because a woman's body is capable of carrying a baby does not mean she has to. Sperm and eggs are alive, yet no one complains when those are wasted.
Although "selling baby parts" (correct term is a fetus, and a fetus cannot survive outside the mothers body until a certain point in gestation. A fetus uses the mothers body, if you will) has led to embryonic stem cell research that has helped millions and saved lives. A person has a right to donate his or her organs and decline, even if it would save someone's life.
Abortions before 12 weeks are most common. Anything later is usually for medical reasons (mother at risk, baby at risk, inherited disease, etc). I am pro choice because sex is a biological need, contraception does not work always, and sometimes a woman is in no place to carry a child to term for various reasons. A right to life does not mean our bodies can be used against our will.

@Starkizzed21: How long can you live outside the womb without external support? Want to know the truth? Try not going to the grocery store, do not turn on the faucet for water...all those are life-support systems that you take advantage of to live. All of them require massive amounts of work by other humans to provide you with what you use to survive.
Think! Stop swallowing the lies of convenience! Be honest enough to admit that abortion is about convenience and death and not about helping and being compassionate.
And as far as Planned Parenthood is concerned, one question for you.
Q: If a group of people known as the mafia donated money to a local orphanage...say 1/2% of their proceeds from criminal activity...would that make them "good" because it overshadows all the crime and death they imposes on others as "The Mafia"?
A: Absolutely not! They're criminals and some pittance they toss into a beggars hat doesn't change the truth of their purpose or activities.
So why do we glow about PP and all the "good" they do when the vast majority of their purpose and income is derived from abortions?
If those "other" services are so important, fine! Continue them. But stop the abortions. No? Why not? Ahhhh, they provide $$$$$ for the cash train to ride. Be honest and stop expecting everyone else to accept the ignorance you have already embraced.

@Starkizzed21: In the eyes of God abortion is murder. Life even in the womb is precious. I really dont give a damn what scientists think because they are not God. They dont know what God declares. They are not the all knowing Creator who made life itself.
