Should I contact her?

So, there is a girl that I used to be best friends with. We met when I was three and she was two. Her brother and my brother have been best friends since kindergarten, and my mom used to be best friends with her mom and her dad used to be best friends with my dad. Our families even took trips together when we were in elementary school. At some point, I don’t remember when, I started wanting attention, so I started putting her down about things she liked at the time. She told me she didn’t want to be friends anymore, and I was heartbroken. I tried to contact her constantly, calling her house phone and texting her. Her mom even started flat out ignoring my mom (even in person), and now, I feel awful. I ruined a friendship for both of my parents and myself that I thought would’ve lasted a lifetime. I even wrote her a mean note when I was younger and had someone else give it to her on the playground, which I now feel absolutely terrible about. Anyway, I’m in college now, and I think life is too short to miss out on friendships because of things I did when I was little. Should I reach out to her? If so, what should I say?

Leave sleeping dogs lye,and chalk it up to your own insecurities and learn from the mistake, its not always cool to be an attention seeking self centered cunt, but you were a lot younger and maybe a bit dense.
