Can some people have a habit of lying that they can’t help?

People can always stop lying, they just choose not to because it's easier at the time.

Short answer is Yes. As there are alcoholics, junkies, bullies, manipulators, mental ill, thieves... to name few... Whats bad is malice and hypocrisy.
