Why is it that guys tend to open up to girls more than to their own gender?

To give it context, I'm not saying it's the same for every male. Just that I have some guy friends and I encourage them to go out and talk to people when they have problems or issues. I don't know if they do but I think one of the first people they decide to call or ask out is me.

Some of them likes me I think. Yet only one got the chance to admit it. Problem is, I want a partner and not someone to fix.

Stigma. Men have been telling themselves to be a man since ancient times and many of them just can't open up to other men out of being laughed at, not taken seriously or judged. Also alot of men just don't know how to handle when someone opens up to them because they never got the experience with others or themselves.
It really sucks, I personally see a man who can be open about his emotions way more attractive, men who don't try to be men and just be a person whoever they truly are... Same goes for anyone I guess

@MushroomFaerie When it comes to friends yes. But honestly when it comes to someone who claims to fancy me, I'd prefer he reserves his weakness when we're close enough already.
@Casheyane yes women have to do that to... You meet someone and expose all your inner flaws then you scare people away. You don't just go around opening up to people its weird

@MushroomFaerie Yeah :) There needs to be trust. I listen to them of course. But idk, maybe it's the girl in me. I kinda a want a hero type to date.
@Casheyane they can still be like that and open at the same time. I find the alpha males are more secure in opening up

@MushroomFaerie Yeah? Then I wanna meet an alpha male :)
