Why is it that guys tend to open up to girls more than to their own gender?

To give it context, I'm not saying it's the same for every male. Just that I have some guy friends and I encourage them to go out and talk to people when they have problems or issues. I don't know if they do but I think one of the first people they decide to call or ask out is me.

Some of them likes me I think. Yet only one got the chance to admit it. Problem is, I want a partner and not someone to fix.

Because males are assholes

@MartinTheFirst I would have expected you to defend your gender, but you just have to do the opposite. Why is that?

@MartinTheFirst Are you one of them?

Imagine, you're walking with your friend and you decide to say what's bothering you. You open up to them casually, but the moment they hear your issue they get this expression on their face that means "why are you telling me this?". After you've seen their expression you understand that you need to end the conversation as quick as possible.

This happens between males, because they're assholes and really don't want to hear another guys problems.

Not everyone of course, but most.

@MartinTheFirst Ahh. I'm sorry to hear that. It makes sense they they seek female company if you put it like that.
