Most of my friends are almost lifetime ones.
Some since 40 to 50 years ago.
The original bunch was approximately 50/50 of each gender. The proportions got even nearer when each of us got in relationships / married.
But, since a certain age, and it´s a matter of fact that you know but you do not believe till you are there, men die younger than women.
The result: there are left some more women than men in the old friends bunch.
