How much would you spend on a wedding gift?
When I was a kid, the rule of thumb was $20, now it is $100. Is it me, or is this getting out of control? Or is this just a sign that I am getting old and complaining about inflation?

$100 sounds about right but I sometimes give more depending on how close I am to the couple. Weddings are expensive, or so I've heard lol.

@justberniegirl, isn't that a shame? I know things don't always work out but if people actually slowed down and got to know each other fully, that would probably change.
