Ever had a friendship of many years (10+) come to an end, & then look back and realize you aren't sure how the hell you were friends to begin with?

Not really. I've lost longtime friendships. The experience leads me to see where I was with myself at the time they were in my life, and how my being different now has led to the friendship falling away.

Friendships constantly evolve in and out as they and I shift focus and position.

@PhoenixPhail It's good that you could recognize you might have had some involvement in the changes that took place. 🙂
For me, it was as though this person just wasn't the same as the one I had met 10 years prior. And I don't mean the typical 'we grow and we change' type of changes. I mean the I know longer know who you are b/c you don't resemble any part of the person I once knew type of changes.
