To say this is manipulative?

Called friend out on her distant behaviour and she said she doesn't agree with a situation I am in but feels she can't say anything as doesn't want to be seen as the bad guy. A week on she texted saying she can't meet with me as she feels very anxious about everything and its making a condition of hers worse. Do you see this as manipulative?

No, she has every right to make decisions about what is best for her. Unless she is pressing you to change, which it doesn't sound like she is.

@BluePlanet Not necessarily. Also, from your post it seems as though the condition she has was pre-existing. It is possible for something going on with you too cause her stress, and deteriorate her health.

Anyway, blah blah. I don't know your situation fully, so my opinion means nothing.
