Is it awkward having a crush on someone in your friend circle?

If you're so obsessed with that person that you act as if everyone else in the circle doesn't even exist, then yeah.

I have a crush for my best friend. I told him about 7 years ago how I felt about him. I didn't see him for two weeks after that but then we started hanging around again. We are so close as mates now even though I have a huge crush on him still.
So it isn't awkward at all between us. He knows how I feel about him. And I think that made us closer as friends x
