Do you think having online friends is legit?

Someone said that having online friends isn't much and it's better to meet people irl. But I still think that irl and online friends aren't much of a difference and I still value friendship anyways, anyhow. Well despite people not showing their faces and not knowing how they sound like but still doesn't mean you still can't be friends tho.

Send that person to Antarctica to a one person weather station for 6 months as see if he feels difrent.. if online friends are all you have, it’s something......
I refuse to accept that anyone doesn’t have at least 2-5 reallife friends

@Deadcutie It is hard to believe. I know people online who said they don't have irl friends at all. Even some of them said not even online friends as well.

Yeah that's the thing. Hate to be the only one at one end who's making the effort and the other really isn't. I guess they don't want to go that far for personal reasons I don't know.
