Yes. I often talk to my dog about the normal, mundane things around the house as if he’s going to offer his opinion in response.

About the only thing I say to my pet are silly, loving things, or questions like, what’s wrong? Or Why did you do that? Do you need to potty outside? I would never want to have any of those conversations played back to me. Most of them are “why are you such a cute dog?”
