Your friend finds a perfume sample bottle at your house when she is house sitting for you. It belongs to nobody you know.
The friend who is house sitting has been quiet and strange with you for weeks. A few days on she tells you she knows you have had a new girlfriend for weeks. What would you think?

I would think either she wants to be more than a housesitter to me, she thinks she's a detective, or she's one of those friends who thinks my business is her business.

Then I would think she was hurt and felt left out by the friend who confided in her a lot about a breakup but didn't inform her about a new relationship, and rightly so. Am I your friend, or your shrink. She probably felt used.@Jenni855
