Why are there no official friendship breakups like in relationships?

At least I'd know if I was bothering someone or if it's okay to message them every once in a while. How do people know they aren't friends with someone anymore?

@johnnyq12 I want to know if I'm friends with someone. And I want to be open with my friends about it. I don't mind being left I just want to know the truth.
