How many chances do you give someone?

Anywhere between three and twenty-seven. Something recently happened. I honestly hated this person. Talked a lot of shit about them. Now we're making an effort to be friends again. And it's going well. Am I stupid?? Someone who's hurt me, who I've hurt...and I'm giving them another chance...after all the shit-talking I've done?

One chance. I am pretty clear in what I will tolerate and what I won't. I have a few close friends. I prefer it that way. They know me well. You learn, as you get older, to surround yourself with genuine, caring friends.
