Are we really friends?

My friend used my name as referral for his debts without my permission. He has no intention of paying for it. Now, the credit company is calling me to contact him. I messaged him about it and he "advised" me to just ignore the calls. When I told him it's annoying. He then proceeded with talking about how he treats me as a friend and during this "critical times" I should not do this to him. He told me to stop being immature and superficial.
