Do you think friends are one soul in two bodies?

Greek philosopher Aristotle said: “Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.” According to Greek legend, by the story based on mythology written by Aristotle’s mentor, Plato in his work, Symposium, humans originally were half male and half female. After conspiring to climb Mount Olympus, Zeus ordered them cut in half. Since that day, every human spends their life searching for their other half.

Never have I viewed either of them writing myths. They were brilliant philosophers, writing in poetry and wisdom. Though the Greeks are rich with myths, their myths didn't come from imagination. Always a void inside of us searching for something, sometimes it is felt but not known. I believe we are made in pieces, and always in search to feel complete

hi LordSillio
haha English is full of Greek words and in the same way many Greek ideas are internalised in our culture - so naturally it feels natural to us!
I also love this idea of friendship being one soul in two bodies. Feels like that!
best wishes
:)
