For me it's not if others are fake or not. Cause maybe in their eyes they was as true as they knew how to be. Is what matters to me, is if I'm a true real friend or not.

Usually it is because they lie all the time.
A real friend is not going to try and deceive you

That might be [i]him[/i] but it's not everyone. That's all I'm saying. If he was diagnosed with a mental illness, he's almost not at fault. How can he be held responsible for his actions when he naturally doesn't care because he doesn't know what it's like to care. Those kind of people lack emotion that we don't. Anyway I hope he was made aware that his actions or lack of was hurtful to you and probably others. It's too bad you stayed with him for that long. @SW-User

@Spoiledbrat I give up I don't go in for blame the victim mentality.. myself...he knew enough to hide what he was doing that shows he could have done things different had he wanted to...anyway, I am done with this discussion.

When you are only there for their entertainment. When they have nothing else to do they want you around. It was really interesting to see how the player reacted to being played. It's called Karma.

I disagree there because innocent people get played all the time. I guess you can look at it like "they deserved it". However, they might not think so.@AlmostAnAngel

The only way this person was played was that I tried to remain friends and in the end I was the one cast aside like garbage. Yet I am sure they feel they were the one done wrong.

I don't care for how often we talk, but more what the talks will be like when we have them. Quality stands over quantity.

What's more essential to me is when they start showing questionable behavior, and little by little it's confirmed while their explanations won't make things fit together. At times their actions will be directly exposed, and they keep pretending everything is okay. Finally some will simply turn their back on you without any excuse made after they are confronted with their doubtful behavior.

I realize that mental illness can cause this, but if they avert their eyes when they shake my hand, I pretty much know there will be no friendship. I've never had a 'fake friend'.
