Do you easily trust people?

FunKingPizzaShip · M Best Comment
I give most people the benefit of the doubt.
But if my trust is broken, it is difficult for people to earn it back.
@FunKingPizzaShip I'm the same way. Like if you break my trust with one thing it's hard for me to trust you for other things

I give people the benefit of the doubt- until shown otherwise, but I also remain skeptical until shown otherwise. Too many have hidden agendas.
@GalacticJourney Same. But in a serious conversation I also like them to have some depth.
@Elandra77 me too but only with people I'm close to because you never know who'll get offended when it comes to a serious topic
@GalacticJourney Very true. But If I am having a serious convo , I am past knowing them a bit.

At work - absolutely give everyone benefit of doubt. In a romantic relationship- after my last one - never ever again - it will take work to earn my trust.
@CheerfullyCurious they cheated?
CheerfullyCurious · 46-50, F
@GalacticJourney worse. They broke promises.
@CheerfullyCurious awe sorry about that. Don't give up on romantic relationships tho. A lot of times things don't work out but that's ok. Gotta lose a few guys to find a good guy

Not after I found out there are men pretending to be women out here..lol :D :P
@Wayne91 they're doing it everywhere 😂
Wayne91 · 31-35, M
Yeah.....weirdos lol :D
Waxfoot · 56-60, M
People in general are not that trustworthy so always with a massive pinch of salt lol
@Waxfoot lol it might take more than a pinch
Waxfoot · 56-60, M
@GalacticJourney certainly on here lmao 🤣
NigelDoes · 56-60, M
I used to but it takes a lot for me to gain someone's trust these days.
@NigelDoes did something happen or did it just change overtime?
NigelDoes · 56-60, M
It was a cumulative effect of being lied to.

There are levels of trust...easily trust with some things...most things not so much.
@bowman81 same here

No, I go really slowly.
sometimeslonelytoo · 51-55, M
I agree, and it's healthy to enter a relationship accepting that. It's those who enter too sure of themselves that end up dissatisfied I'm thinking.
@sometimeslonelytoo I think so too
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
I don't trust my own family, let alone other people.
@Tatsumi that's kinda sad to hear
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
@GalacticJourney Meh. Life is sad. Humans are fallible and emotional creatures. No one should be totally trusted. Not even ones self. Just because you don't trust someone, doesn't mean you can't have whatever kind of relationship with them, though. It's a delicate balance, but there's a way to compartmentalize trust, to where you can dole out specific amounts and balance that with self-protection.
@Tatsumi yea that's true too
Degbeme · 70-79, M
I take people at face value until they prove me wrong. :)
Not so much on SW.
@tootie in person? Like friends and stuff?
@GalacticJourney Just wife and kids at 100%. Friends, just about general conversation, nothing of any real importance. Siblings and relatives, even less. lol
