A positive update on my friend I vented about his situation months ago.

Things did get drastically better for him. The problems were solved. He is now back to normal everyday life.
His mother messaged me few times to ask about him but I never answered. She was pushing him to go to war to fix him and trying to convince me to end the friendship. I became incredibly furious and was about to abuse her, held back out of my respect towards her son.
I didn't want those events to break his heart as he loves her very much , never told him nor showed him the conversations, someone did tell him though about what they were saying to his friends behind his back. And he decided to end all communication with his family, stepfather and mother that is.
He is doing very well. And I am proud of him for not joining the military nor hurting himself. The military sucks.
