You could have chosen to stay shallow and loved by the majority. You could have ignored the normalization

Of predatory behaviors towards minors and young women..and if you done that, you could have kept your friendships, you could have made the cliques here happy, gave their egos less to feel conflicted about...

You could have conformed and agreed to the downplaying, belittling and invalidating reaction when I stood up to it..you could have called my empathy and judgement drama, toxic and just me being hurt...too much.

But you didn't.

You made the difficult choice of being true to your principles.

And you lost friendships because of that.


Although one would argue you can't lose something you never had. Those weren't friendships and they aren't still..even towards one another.


They are people who use each other to pass time, for entertainment, laughs , sexual gratification, void of depth and true love.

And they aren't brave enough to see you choose truth. It reminded them of their failure.

They lost you.

Thank you for choosing to let them go. They have much to learn but time waits for no one. It is the most precious thing we own and I will forever be grateful for the moments you have chosen to spend with me.

And even more grateful to you for knowing the difference between loving others and pretending to love them.
