Honestly, THIS. I prefer like-minded people who have had struggles. As long as a person has insight and understanding of themselves and aren’t in free-fall harming other or themselves with no self-awareness I’m fine with them :)
There is common-group and empathy :)
“Happy” people with zero-struggles are hard to relate to. They go through life like a funfair and can act judgmental or avoidant if they meet those of us who have battled our minds and are still here <3
I’m autistic, ADHD & have mental health struggles as well as OCD. If I met a mentally fine neurotypical person, I doubt they’d find me compatible - and if I’m honest, I wouldn’t find them compatible either masking and burning out would make me walk on eggshells and feel insecure and self-conscious 😞
