What's it like to have the same friends from early childhood well into adulthood?

The closest I come to that are my siblings and cousins. What’s been hard is the younger cousins who have passed on.
Having held someone as a baby, watched them live their lives, then seeing them, grown, in their casket, is just so difficult…😞
