Funny story...

So my partner of 15 years' friend is getting married, she's much younger and I see her once or twice a week. I get on with her ok and I always make time for her autistic son, he's non communicative but I always make an effort and he responds now either by laughing or hiding whatever mood he's in.
She's asked for cash as wedding present to go toward her honeymoon and I was debating 'how much do I like this girl?' Do I like her £20 or £50 bearing in mind that each of these equates to the number of hours I work to get this cash in my hand 2 or 5 hours. I said to my other half, 'when's the wedding?'
"October...but you're not invited and I haven't been given a plus one." Odd because both of her daughters who the bride sees once a year have been invited with their partners! Guess that's 20 quid saved.

So today is the day and my partner is not only attending the wedding but having to run chores for the bride too! Nothing to do with the wedding but a couple of things that take her away from everybody else such as dropping by the bride's house to take care of her pets and another job at a different location, you couldn't make this crap up. I get the one job but somebody else could've done the other. I await a report back on how things go.
