Yeah, the one I'm thinking about, they were just headed down a bad path and no realizing it and not listening... I had to either go down it with him or break off.
I felt like breaking off was the best for both... as I wouldn't be continuing down that path, and since he wasn't listening, maybe being more alone would help him realize it was a bad path.
Of course, he had a way with the ladies and was never truly alone... and kept going down that path until I lost track of him.

@Hanginginthere Rarely, I mean maybe if something specific triggers it, though it was a long time ago now.
But he could of had everything... he had a good women that absolutely loved him, even while he was dating other women. Good looks, good brains (though he chose not to use them). A lack of patience...
But if he wanted to dive into the drug culture, and come to school drunk with alcohol in his Gatorade bottle, there was nothing people could do to stop him, especially with the teachers realizing it, and calling the cops, and he would do it again.

@Viper im glad I never got into drugs
