Hmmm slightly tricky. Speaking from my own perspective as someone who has just a few friends & many acquaintances .

Id say worse not to have any friends that you like. As its the ones that I like who make the biggest difference to my world🌎

I've never considered anyone I actually dislike a "friend", or pretended that I did. I figure that answers the question.

It feels like the same thing. If you don’t really like them, they’re not your friends—just acquaintances.
To me it’s easier to be alone than with people whose presence annoys you.
