He was a buddy on EP. We became real life buddies once the transition to SW started and he found out I lived close to one of his friends.
He was incredibly intelligent and funny. I know he was a bit of a smart ass, but I liked that. He kept you thinking, laughing and we had many adventures. He was also very thoughtful and supportive. Probably the best friend I ever had. He was there for me emotionally like no one had ever been. I just stopped hearing from him one day. I have wondered for years what could of happened to him but I'd hoped it was good.
He had lost his family too. He'd been through his share of pain and was the realest mfer I knew. He was great buddies with my son too, who couldn't pronounce his name at that time... So since he was a Captain, my son called him Captain Broccoli lol
He was an incredible guitar player and had played with members of Phish. I lost his recordings, but we would jam 🖤
He took my son and I sailing 🖤
For my son's 4th birthday he knew how much he loved penguins, so he took us to the Baltimore zoo to meet them! 🖤
He was a silly, goofy guy in all the right ways. Always laughing and making us laugh 🖤
I severely miss him and I'm really hurt he is gone. I wish I had known. But I'm assuming his passing was sudden, because one day we were chatting, the next he was gone completely. I used to email him for years after, begging him to contact me until his email and phone were disconnected.
If anyone has any knowledge of why he passed, please let me know. He moved around a lot. Knew a lot of people and had friends all over.
I'm pretty tore up. I wish I had known. I wish I could of been there for him.

Beautiful post. I'm so sorry for your loss. But your post is one of a loving story...
We each follow our own path and in doing so we intersect with different people at different times. While it would be nice for him to have stayed in your life, it simply wasn't meant to be.
Maybe he moved on to different people, maybe he passed from this earth, we may never know. What you do know is that he came into your life for a period of time, sprinkled it with love, and then moved on. And that may be all we ever know. Hold on to that. Remember his laughter. Remember the love he showed to a four year old just because.
I didn't know him back on EP, but he seems like a genuine good guy. Thank you for sharing this little piece of him here with us now. ❤️
