Have you ever had a friend that used to hold your hand

Like when u weren’t dating but if you went out in the street together?
There was a girl that used to do this with me and it was so nice!

I remember my friends used to do that when we were 13-14. I didn't understand it. I had no need to hold someone's hand, let alone a girl's hand, lol.
