If I tell someone "go back to your quiet place" - would it be considered rude?

I casually asked a guy whether he is a quiet person. He said "I will be like this only. I think you like an aggressive man". To which I responded "It's not about "aggressive". 2 people can have a conversation without being aggressive. Anyway go back to your quiet place". Didn't hear from him since.
I don't feel like apologizing either.

@aivive Yeah. If I get into an apologetic mode then everytime I voice my opinion I'm going to feel like I have to be super careful before saying anything

@solitaire i mean yea it was kinda unwarranted and uncalled for LMFAOO i can just picture you saying it, next time be more careful with the way u word things u dont need to initiate a convo with him nor apologize unless he texts u first c;
