guy friends

im a girl and personally i prefer hanging out with boys and having guy friends over girl friends. people seem to have a problem with that and i don’t get why it’s an issue. why cant i just have good friendships with the opposite gender without romantic connections? when i say i prefer guy friends because its “less drama” people will say im a pick me girl but thats genuinely the reason why 😂so yeah i just want to know why its weird for some people

Some girls have a great way of playing it straight (i.e., honest, no games), having clear boundaries and treating guys like they are her brothers.
Guys pick up on that, like her as a person (not sex object) and treat her with respect. It's quite rare, but I've seen it at least three or four times in my life (of 66 years).

People tend to believe far too much in stereotypes and forget that there are always exceptions.
