Can Men and Women just be “friends”?

One of you lovely people here on SW brought up an interesting point..

Is it possible for men and women to just be friends? Or Is there always that chance that one of them might fall in love with the other?

I’m curious to hear some personal experiences or opinions 😅

Let's say that you have a gay couple in the equation here... are you going to stop them from talking to people of the same gender that they are attracted to just in case "they catch feelings"???

I have guys that I am friends with, but I would never take things further than that with them because I respect my man too much - and some of them have wives of their own, too.

@SW-User On the whole, I've noticed that hetero couples seem to have the idea that they should isolate their partners from family and friends much more than homo couples.

Now I'm not saying that homo couples don't do it at all - but it seems weird to me that hetero people seem to allow their insecurities to reach the point where they resort to abusing their partners rather than getting help for their own underlying problems.
