Farewell, KeepItSimple
I knew she was battling metastatic cancer and from other posts I’ve seen here it appears that she passed away recently. We were friends in that unique way that exists primarily online. A few quick memories:
She loved the famous Mother’s Day post by @Haniazed that encouraged people to share photos of their backsides, before anyone was using the term “body positivity”
She was very conservative politically and we disagreed on most things in that area. But she would sometime surprise me, for instance, with her enthusiastic support for the LGBT community. She once said that we agreed on the goals, just not how to get there. And we used to defend each other from trolls in opposite sides of the political spectrum.
She had beautiful, exuberant hair!
She was pretty private on her personal life but had interesting stories about her youth and raising her kids and grandkids she was a very involved grandmother.
The last time I wrote to her, telling her I was sorry to hear of her illness, she thanked me and just asked me to pray for her. I did. And I’ll keep doing it.
Rest In Peace, my friend.
❤️❤️❤️
