I can confirm this is true. I think guys, including me, often have more trouble reaching out with social stigmas. When someone sends a message, texts me, gets in touch and just checks in and has a chat it's amazing and lifts my mood. It really doesn't matter how long it's been either.

Amen. Even if we have friends, it still doesn't quench the loneliness we feel. Those of us that value romantic love, affection, intimacy and connection above all others seek that one person who you can give your whole heart to. It's not that we can't thrive without it, but nothing in the world would remove that desire. Being reminded that we're cared for, even if not necessarily in the way that we'd prefer, is still a shining light.

Guys tend to be non-social animals and prefer to be alone rather than in groups.
