Did you ever have a friend on sw

I haven't been here a year yet, but I have been blocked by someone I genuinely thought I was getting on well with.
I've also been blocked by people I've nevr interacted with.
I have noticed however that there are certain factions here, like gangs, perpetuation rumours and gossip about other users. Maybe it's a case of you get blocked for interacting with the wrong person. 🤷‍♂️
I'll make my own mind up about people, if they're ok with me then we won't have a problem.
I hate blocking, only ever blocked one person, and he was very abusive, but again, that was without ever previously interacting with me, and I tried talking to him first.

Yes something like that happened to me, more or less. I can't say we were "friends", but we chatted from time to time about totally innocent things, like classical music, and then - all of a sudden and for no apparent reason - I was blocked. 😐
I asked some other users about that, and they said she's known to be somewhat unstable.
Never heard of her again. Don't even know whether she's still on SW or not.

I used to chat with someone on here and on skype everyday. Suddenly like after 6mos he stopped chatting with me. He took a break and came back, but then he eventually quit. He never blocked me though. Maybe he had personal issues. I actually miss chatting with him. No regrets.

Think it happens with members here a lot. I think there are gossip and rumor mongers behind the scenes and if they spread their slime to their friends, you will get blocked by their little friends. It's like middle school playground all over again.

If I'm really friends with someone for that long I have them on whatsapp and/or fb...in which case blocking is unusual lol

There are so many posts like this, that I fear for the future of SW. In real-life relationships I have noticed that when your conversations are mostly about the relationship, it's a very bad sign and the relationship probably won't last much longer. The more we talk on SW about SW, the more pessimistic I get.
Fortunately there are other ways to stay connected if this site does fall apart.

Yep, once I got blocked out of nowhere. Usually they just disappear, or keep visiting daily but not talking to me anymore.

No. This has never happened to me.

The longest friendship I had was for 6 years before he disappeared without saying a word. But he didn´t block me. And neverteheless I don´t regret this friendship because we had 6 good years.

And the other longterm-friendship I am having here will do whatever but certainly won´t block me. None of the friends I´ve ever had here has ever blocked me. That´s just childish.

Yep, a girl I used to talk to and she even suggested we meet up just all of a sudden blocked me. It hurt loads.

Yah it’s happened. One just blocked me the other day because she said I was friends with someone I am not.

I also had a guy block me out of no where but he was a simp for a woman that doesn’t like me. Sometimes it feels like high school here.

I don’t really have SW friends…what does one do with them?

I noticed the other day that someone I muted but had never interacted with blocked me, I just laughed
