If he was just a friend

If he was just a friend, it wouldn't hurt this badnot talking to him. If he was just a friend one day without talking to him, wouldn't make it hurt this bad. If he was just a friend, his absence wouldn't hurt this much. If he was just a friend, I wouldn't be missing him this bad. It's true, he was not just a friend, at least to me. To me he was someone, who made me feel less alone, it made me believe what everyone was saying, that I was strong. He was more than just a friend. He was someone I consider a best friend and while he is gone he is still very much on my mind I hope he is well, even if he was just a friend.
