What would you do if your friend stopped paying rent?

Let's say you and your Best friend ( a male) are roommates. He lost his job and has been unemployed for 4 months. He says finding a job is hard and stopped helping out with rent. He says he appreciates you for being kind to him during his time of need but the rent has gone up and he isn't helping
What would you do?
