I wonder what would happen if we break the barriers of anonymity.

I don't think much will change.
Or maybe it will.
People tend be attracted to pretty faces.
Do the words we write reflect our true faces?
We tend to just pass by one another's posts.
The masks we built hidden in emoticons and googled photos and memes and musings.
I wonder...if we break the wall...who's standing on the other side? Will we like the face we see? Will we be amazed? Disappointed? Or will there just be a moment of 'ahh...so it's you.'
I see you're a person too.
Real as you could be.
Broken and hurt and healing.
Fighting and strong and true.
I wonder.
Are you curious to see just who is standing behind the wall?

I've given up anonymity to a few here and others through the years on different sites.
Mostly, it's been good, but some "friends" turn out to be not so nice.
For many, when I see a picture...it's more like "so that's what my friend looks like :) "
I won't bring upsets, disagreements and such here, if that were to be a thing.

I tend to take people more seriously and like a connection, not just a big group following. And... I'm pretty sure most know how I am, even on internet and if I'd appeal to them for friendship.

No. With the harassment online today just for holding a different opinion, if you took away anonymity, many wouldn’t be here. Also, some of us have enemies.

@Carissimi There is that.
