I had a good friend who was a recent immigrant from Germany. He and his lovely wife and 4 kids made a wonderful family and my wife and kids would often visit them. They were devout Christians and they tried to help me in my new found faith. Hans was a very nice fellow but had some really whacked out ideas. On our way home from visiting them my wife and I would often laugh at his 'conspiracy theories'. 40 years later I now realize his were not conspiracy theories at all. They were almost prophetic in foretelling what would happen in the near future.

He lived through all the rhetoric we have been seeing. Everything in the name of safety, give up a little freedom for a little security. By the time Hitler came to power, it was too late. I know a gentleman who immigrated to the US after WW2, he was a machine gunner on the Russian front, he thought Hitler was a nutcase, everyone knew they couldn't win the war. Another lady that immigrated after the war though he was almost a God, she was a child during the war and in Berlin, she got the free stuff, she got to eat, her father worked in a plant and they had a good life till the Allies shut it all down, Hitler was misunderstood in her opinion. We are at a point in this country where those who want the free stuff, to abdicate responsibility to the government, are making their way into politics and changing the way government towards socialism.

German people that age have “been there done that “ so to speak.
It’s sometimes wise to listen to people who have already been there and done that .

Let's hope this just a cycle we are in.

@Dino11 Well if we get rid of the modern liberals it would help a lot. Sadly they are the sheep that are allowing this growing tyranny.
