Old friends poem..........

Old friends sitting together like book-ends, with time to spend, never to pretend, no more cards to send,

Catching up on old times, making new rhymes, drinking ice water and a touch of lime, spending a few dimes,

Reminiscing about younger days, their foolish ways, taking in the sun's rays, through the clouds and haze,

Kicking back by the camp's tent, time well spent, just here to vent, can't believe where the years went,

Watching the sunset, soon to forget, all the regrets, memories they can never forget,

Just a couple of old chums, watching the birds hum, time spun, the day is now done......
