What should I think about a friend who cancelled something the day before we went because he said he was anxious?

Mum said that's rude and if he cancels now, you can't expect him to ever keep his word again. But I understand being afraid of going outside. Anxiety is horrible and it might not just be because he doesn't want to go. In fact, maybe he wants to go very much.
I will still go, but my parents paid for our tickets.

that's kind of harsh to say you can't expect someone to ever keep their word again if they only do that specific thing once and it's because they are terrified. if they did it over and over again, i could see that being more true though.

i hope the trip is cool anyway.

@Joel8208 Yes, I think so too. My mum doesn't understand anxiety.
I hope so! I'm excited. I think my brother will go.
Mom’s thinking of her money. Yes, anxiety is no fun. And if he was having anxiety, he didn’t feel like going.

@NoGamesTolerated Yes, I know. I'm not going to stop being someone's friend because they were anxious. My mum's money isn't wasted because maybe my brother will go. If not, then I will still go! 😊
