Mrs. Valentino

Mrs. Valentino was my best friend in school at least in twelfth grade. She was the school nurse and I always loved to talk to her. She was like my nurse therapist. I would often lie to get out of boring study hall to see her. I would walk in toss my school bag down like I was at home, stretch out on the sick bed and be like "Hey girl, you wont believe what happened during gym class." Sometimes it was like I was seeing a psychiatrist for free. It was a genuine friendship. She was never annoyed with me coming, never put up any Away At Lunch signs hiding behind a locked door. She always welcomed me and anticipated my visits. It was "Hey I havent seen you in a while..or When are you coming for a visit? She was always like a second mom and she was my friend. She was a cool lady who would join in on the school gossip. We couldn't be any more different from each other but somehow we had so much to talk about. She understood me.
