I had a pen-pal in 3rd grade.

He was from Texas. His teacher and my teacher were friends. I'm from Tennessee, and it was really cool. The entire school year each classmate received a letter from the same pen-pal. It was so awesome/wholesome. I don't remember his name. But, I felt like he was my best friend. I hope he's doing great in life. I never saw his face, but he was the sweetest boy I ever knew.

I had a mean one who only sent letter complaining to me about what I wrote. It was from a foreign country. And so the school thought the healthiest option was to yell at me and haraass me about my topics I chose to talk about.

And I still hope karma fell upon those teachers and principals heads.

Can’t say that the kid really stressed me out. It was a mutual dislike on both our parts. But if someone asks you what you like, and you express and their first response is to criticize you and say you should only talk to them about what they like. And then all the mature “adults” gang up on a child like it’s some brainwashing camp.

I can see how I turned out the way I did in life. I had “Great” model examples teaching me at my school on how to behave. That’s for sure.

@Seventeen Oh no, I hate that you had that experience. School systems do seem to forget that we are human/children.
@Saucylover There was legitimate abuse going on in that school. Which I’m assuming is why it’s no longer around. Last time I checked it got taken off the map entirely.
