"Children shouldn't have best friends, private school head argues" ... Should children be discouraged from having best friends?

"Ben Thomas, the school’s headmaster, said there was no official policy to that effect but he supported the idea.

He said: “There is sound judgment behind it. You can get very possessive friendships, and it is much easier if they share friendships and have a wide range of good friends rather than obsessing too much about who their best friend is."

I had a obsessive psychopath as a best friend when I was a child, My parents warned me. She was very manipulative so she convinced me that my parents were wrong. It took me years to see the sick twisted bitch thst she was. The only reason I was manipulated was because she was At least loyal but she would get possessive if I made any new friends.
