@MayorOfCrushtown I have thought that most of his TV appearances as well practically all of his movies rely on pure stupidity for their comedic value which for some reason has been appealing since the mid nineties. I specifically asked chatgpt when stupidity replaced jokes as humor and it specifically tied the trend to beginning with Beavis and Butthead as well as South Park but did not include the Simpsons which began approximately 4 years earlier and was part of Tracy Allman episode 3 years prior than being it's own show When asked why this was an interesting answer was given.
While "The Simpsons" shares some traits with shows like "Beavis and Butt-Head" and "South Park," it distinguishes itself through its character depth, narrative complexity, and cultural commentary. It helped pave the way for the acceptance of animated shows as a legitimate form of adult comedy, but it also maintains a unique style that balances humor with social critique.

I would like to point to my reply to @MayorOfCrushtown for my real opinion and the state of comedy the last 30 years with an interesting actual chatgpt opinion observation.
