I am Vegan

I've been vegan for twelve years and if anyone asks me the reason I politely explain my views to them. Society generally tends to condemn bullying and emotional abuse, but if the subject happens to be vegan, there is suddenly an unofficial free pass floating in the air for anyone who wants to take it. I have had someone thrust a piece of bacon in my face and yell, 'go on, you know you want some!' I don't. If I wanted to eat it, I would. Having someone trying to make you a spectacle and feel like shit in front of others simply because they don't agree with your personal choices in life is pathetic. If you are vegan who had to deal with this then you are obviously not alone. I feel strongly that one day, if not in my lifetime, the world will find itself a much kinder place than it was, and it will only start when fools realise that other fellow human beings are not here to be bullied either physically or emotionally, and that animals aren't either.

i wouldn't bully you. i have many vegetarian and vegan friends and family i serve food for at our many social gatherings. what i would do is simply serve you some of the vegan sorbetto gelato i make at my business. and then you would fall madly in love with me馃榾

Cadbury's Bournville dark is a favourite of mine and there are plenty of dairy free chocolate around to buy - I'm pleased to say!
