Every Ex-Vegan’s JOURNEY

"I had one calorie of fish and what happened after I consumed that one calorie of fish, changed my life forever. All my symptoms magically went away." ----> sarcasm done right 😂

He expressed this a bit too ridiculously.... But he's right.

We need to listen to our bodies. And Sometimes it's a compromise.

I hate animal cruelty, and get most of my protein from eggs and dairy. And I'm lucky to live where these animals are on natural farms and aren't forced to produce.

But I also know I need a little more protein.... So I, on occasion, eat meat.

It's not A choice, my body needs it.
Just as it's not A choice I shouldn't eat grains, or rice or potatoes.... They make me ill.

Food IS MEDICINE!

And knowing what is good for your personal body chemistry is important.

Deny it... And you will eventually become ill.

We each have out own personal needs when it comes to diet.

I don't think people are educated enough on the chemistry of food, or the ethical farming of it.

So many major crops and livestock farming practices just poison the environment.

We are out of touch with nature, and ourselves.
@SatanBurger well my experience is different.

A few months ago I stopped eating legumes, plants from the nightshade family, all grains, and changed my diary to A2 dairy. plus I eliminated nuts that can cause inflamation.

And the very first day my physical issues started dissapearing.

Decades of severe reflux, where even my first coffee in the morning wound set it off.... Dissapeared.

By three days later... All hunger cravings dissapeared... So no snacking anymore.

By a week, my sleep improved, my mental clarity was.... Amazing.
My emotional stress has reduced, back pain has nearly all gone, after years of suffering with it.

My blood sugar is now normal, my blood pressure is down.

Its been a revalation!

Years of trying medication after medication to deal with pain, inflammation, blood pressure, sleep, depression etc blah, blah, blah... Is now over.

I'm on no meds at all, and feel better than I have for 6 years.

And no, I can't get enough protein from vegetables as I can't team beans with the right grains to digest properly.

Legumes and grains just inflame my digestive tract.

I've tried reintroducing certain foods... And every time, symptoms come back.

I think everyone's body chemistry is uniquely tweaked.
Some are lactose intolerant.
Some it's glucose, some it's gluten.

I'm on a path of rebuilding my microbiome, and encouraging my body to build better cells from now on.
To do that.... In very simple terms (it's a fucking chemical mess to work out), I need good fats, proteins and nutrient rich foods to support that.

But I try and source ethical protein when I can, like Roo meat.
It comes from culls. These animals are shot due to overpopulation numbers.

I think it's wonderful if someone can survive and thrive on a vegetarian or vegan diet.
And I've been mostly vegetarian all my life. I very rarely ate meat.

But now I've experienced the affects of good tailored nutrition for my body.... Frankly, I've been on kinda a high ever since I got it right.

And I now naturally eat once a day, sometimes even skip a day.
My energy levels have never been so good.

@OogieBoogie I eat farther apart too.
@SatanBurger really?

Ive always felt that one meal a day did me best, but was forced to three meals a day a a child.
Society hasn't helped either.

But honestly.... It's works so well for me..

I never hungry in the morning... Not till afternoon do I feel like something to eat.

Plus, I feel food slows me down a little... I hate doing physical work after eating... It used to actually cause me pain to do so.

This "forgetting what popular opinion tells you to do", has been a godsend!

One meal a day is perfect for me.

And I think many would benefit from doing the same.

We aren't cows, we don't have the right digestive system to be continually grazing.

And from what I ve been reading.... It's partly the reason so many are developing health issues, (along with eating so much processed crap)
