I Love Tea

I buy empty tea bags from Amazon. I think they are imported from Korea. They come in packs of 100 and cost around $3, which is fine. I like to brew my own mixes.

I have a cabinet devoted to tea. All kinds of spices and herbs can be found there. I have a weakness for caffeine so most of my brews are going to have at least some regular black tea in them! But I also have green tea, chamomile, various mints including catnip, yerba mate green. You name it. Anything that sounds good when I see it, I'll buy it and give it a try.

One personal favorite? Black tea with cinnamon and black pepper. A touch of honey and I've got a nice warming brew for a cold day. Catnip, peppermint, lemongrass and chamomile is my personal tension tamer. Sore throat? Straight green tea with lots of lime juice and honey.

I've got plenty of recipes but none written down. If I forget something, well, that's what the internet is for. I'm always coming across new brews online. Got a favorite? Tell me about it. I'll give it a try.

I love tea. Ginger tea with honey can help inflammation (and I m sure you know already given you repertoire.) It doesn't taste that great in the loose bulk but it works, esp on the tummy.

When my ex-wife was pregnant it was ginger tea that got her through the morning sickness. Yes, the taste can be overwhelming but with some honey added to the mix it's not too bad.

@ravenwind43: Here's a weird one you may not have heard. For a tummy ache, ginger is fine. But don't stop there. Add some fennel, any of the mint leaves such as peppermint or catnip, some chamomile, and even some raw licorice. Put it all, in equal amounts, into an empty tea bag and brew it up. Sweeten it with honey and enjoy. It's not only soothing but the variety of other flavors mute the ginger and it tastes pretty good.
